She Started It!
Yep,she started it, I am definitely her genetic offspring. My Mother was always up to something..... reupholstering the furniture, oil painting, mosaicking the patio tables, sewing her daughters the coolest clothes or making Christmas wreathes out of egg cartons, she always had some creative project going on.I suspect it's how she managed to keep her sanity with four little kids! My Mother alway's found the time to cultivate her artistic nature, and she inspired me to do the same. It's almost like a meditation, that wonderful feeling you get when your creative juices are flowing and time seems to stand still. It can be so satisfying. It's amazing to me, now that I look back, how my life has mirrored my Mother's. Even the timing for some of my artistic endeavors are strangely similar. I hope I'm still at it, like she is ,now in her 80's.You started it Mom!

My Favorite Photo
I was born a twin, although I was the first one to appear, so maybe that makes me the normal one. Anyway, my mother was fond of Toni perms in the 50's and thought our straight blond hair could reap the benefits of that products curly promises......questionable! The hair solution was so nasty all the windows and doors had to be opened, any food product left out on a counter had a slight mystery flavor, the cat stayed outside for a week. And the end result...well, my twin and I refer to that period as the "duelling Bozo's"

What a lovely entry! You mother is stunning, and I want her bathing suit!
My parents are quite creative, but I would say I am the most creative out of my entire family.. my first reasoning for this is because I get bored so easily.. and being creative is never-ending, there's always something, somewhere, that can be done, and I want to do it!
Not a clue were my creative side comes from :) Thanks for stopping by my blog today!
happy weekend,

That's great that your mom's still at it in her 80s. We can only hope to be that lucky. Love your art.
I think both my parents were creative in their own ways.
I enjoyed reading about your Toni perms! I remember the smell of them too when I mom would perm her hair or mine. Actually, I loved the kind of soft perm she'd give me.
Thanks for stopping by my blog.
